How it’s done

The popular pastry with that certain something!

Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk; knead together with the butter, flour, egg, salt, sugar and vanilla seeds to form a dough. Leave to rest for an hour. Roll out the dough and spread with 100 g mascarpone, then sprinkle with cinnamon and a little sugar. Roll the dough up and cut into slices about 5 cm thick. Leave to rest again for 30 minutes. Brush with a little egg and sprinkle with sugar. Prove the dough. Bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes.

Mix together 150 g mascarpone, cream, lemon juice and icing sugar, and pour over the baked cinnamon rolls.
